Graduates of the preparatory department were congratulated at KubSU

The graduation ceremony for the students of the preparatory department for internationals and stateless persons was held on July 8 in the already familiar for everyone remote format. The Vice-Rector for Pre-university and Additional Professional Education Prof. Semyon Yuryevich Kustov and the Director of International Affairs Department Dr. Galina Nikolaevna Govorova congratulated the graduates on the completion of their studies and wished them further success.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, 213 students from 44 countries of the world were taught at the preparatory department, including the Russian Language courses. Most of the graduates are from Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Haiti, Ivory Coast and Ecuador.

Of the graduates of pre-university training programs, 10 future applicants received only excellent grades in all subjects. It is worth mentioning that 8 of them, unfortunately, could not come to Russia because of the pandemic and studied online.

The academic year turned out to be difficult for both students and teachers. It was difficult, but nevertheless everyone got a new and interesting experience. Professors, despite all the difficulties, still managed to teach future students Russian, as well as introduce them to Russian culture and traditions.

The title of "Teacher of the Year" was awarded to Zalaznaya Raisa Isaevna. She has devoted more than 50 years of her life to teaching Russian as a foreign language, and this year she has perfectly mastered distance educational technologies. The excellent results in learning Russian were also achieved by students from the groups of Diana Anatolyevna Lipskaya and Maria Alekseevna Gorganchuk.

The graduates shared their impressions about studying at Kuban State University, saying what they had learned about Russia and the Russian Language during the academic year, what future plans they had and, of course, thanked their teachers for new knowledge received and the leadership of International Affairs Department for help and support during their studies.

Belle Michael (Italy)

"I congratulate everyone on the completion of training and exams. We are all great fellows! Many tanks to my teacher Alexander Alekseevich and KubSU"

Bleibl Al-Basel (Syria)

"I want to express my great gratitude to my teacher Raisa Isaevna and to my group mates. I learned a lot during this year, despite the fact that the training was online. I speak, read and write Russian well now."

Pukuna Minta Jennifer (Ecuador)

"I liked studying at the preparatory department in group No. 9. It was interesting, although sometimes it was difficult, since the grammar of the Russian Language is not easy. I want to thank my teacher for his patience and dedication. Despite the fact we were in different parts of the world, the teacher was able to win our hearts!".

Alhair Rami (Syria)

"Everything was unclear for us for the first days. We thought that we would not be able to achieve our goal to learn Russian. But, thanks to our teacher Anastasia Romanovna, step by step and day by day we were getting better."

Now future students have new goals and objectives, and one of them is to enter Kuban State University.
