KubSU is a participant of qualifying events in Uzbekistan

Kuban State University took part in the qualifying events for candidates planning to enter Russian universities for master's and postgraduate’s fellowship programs in 2021. On April 2-4, 2021, the representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo in Uzbekistan held motivational interviews with potential candidates. Among the interviewers, there were 35 employees from 23 specialized universities in Russia on the site of the Tashkent Department of MSIIR (Moscow State Institute of International Relations). About 400 applicants were interviewed within the quota of the Russian Federation Government. During the interview, not only the level of the Russian Language proficiency, knowledge of specialized terms, but also academic achievements (participation in Olympiads and competitions, personal scholarships or certificates) were taken into account.

From Kuban State University, the following delegates took part in the events: prof. Semyon Yuryevich Kustov – Vice-Rector for Pre-University and Additional Professional Education, Dr. Galina Nikolaevna Govorova – Director of International Affairs Department, and Andrei Aleksandrovich Ostapenko – professor of the Department of Social Work, Psychology and Pedagogy of Higher Education. The KubSU delegation also visited the Russian Cultural Center of Uzbekistan. At a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the Center, Sergei Alexandrovich Mironov, possible forms of interaction were discussed, including those aimed at methodological support of the Russian Language teachers in Tashkent schools. At the end of discussion with the heads of the Center, a career guidance event was held for school graduates in Tashkent, in which more than 50 schoolchildren, teachers and parents took part. A wide range of educational opportunities at KubSU aroused great interest among future students.

Prof. Andrei A. Ostapenko met with teachers and students of Tashkent Theological Seminary, where he lectured on Orthodox anthropology titled "A man between ascent and descent."

It should be noted that students from Uzbekistan have been studying at Kuban State University since the Soviet times. Tanzilya Zagitova, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Management and Psychology and president of the community of KubSU students from Uzbekistan, have passed a qualifying interviews this year, and they are dreaming of doing a master’s course after graduation: “When I was a 4th-year student I went to study at Kuban State University as a mobile student, where I gained my experience in building relationships, discovered new skills that are necessary for both a specialist and a person. Studying in Russia helps students broaden their horizons, opens up a wide range of opportunities for self-fulfillment. I want to continue my studies in Russia. Highly qualified teachers, the academic community, and active social life – all of this I can get within the walls of my already home-like Kuban State University”.
